It is entirely normal to feel a bit apprehensive about transitioning from the tarmac to the dirt, but we want to reassure you: this is exactly why Adventure Rider Hub exists. Our Introduction to Adventure course is designed specifically from the ground up for road riders who have never turned a wheel off-road. You do not need any prior dirt experience to join us.
We don't throw you into deep sand or steep ruts on day one. Instead, we start on flat, predictable surfaces, breaking down the fundamentals of off-road physics, body position, and bike balance into simple, progressive steps. Because we strictly limit our group sizes to a maximum 6:1 rider-to-coach ratio, our instructors are right there beside you, moving at your pace and offering real-time, personalized guidance.
We provide a highly supportive, zero-pressure environment designed to replace intimidation with technical capability. By the end of the weekend, you’ll be amazed at what you and your motorcycle can comfortably achieve.
Every great adventurer started exactly where you are right now. Let's build your foundation the right way.

You need to provide your own bike to attend a course, we do not provide rental bikes
-
Absolutely. In fact, our courses are specifically designed around modern adventure motorcycles—from lightweight singles to the largest twin-cylinder tourers. Whether you ride a 450cc or a 1250cc+, our coaching focuses on the physics of balance, body position, and weight management to make your specific bike feel lighter and more manageable on unpredictable terrain. Your bike must be road-registered and in sound mechanical condition.

The short answer is quality over volume. Many off-road schools operate with massive groups where one or two instructors try to manage 20 to 30 riders at a time. In that environment, it's easy to get lost in the crowd, and you rarely receive individual feedback on your specific riding habits.
We do things entirely differently. At Adventure Rider Hub, we run a premium, boutique coaching model built on three distinct pillars:
The 6:1 Coaching Guarantee: We strictly cap our courses at a maximum ratio of six riders per instructor, with no more than 12 riders on any course. This means you get an unprecedented amount of direct coaching time, personalized feedback, and tailored adjustments throughout the weekend.
Real-World, Heavy-Bike Relevance: We don't train you on lightweight dirt bikes in a manicured paddock. Our curriculum is specifically engineered for modern, multi-cylinder adventure motorcycles. We teach you the precise physics, balance, and momentum required to make a heavy machine feel light and manageable in the real world.
A Focus on Complete Self-Reliance: We don’t just teach you how to ride; we teach you how to travel. From our terrain assessment techniques to our dedicated Tech & Maintenance masterclasses, our goal is to graduate riders who are entirely self-sufficient and capable of exploring remote areas safely.
We aren't here to just run you through drills. We are here to deliver a permanent leap in your riding capability.

This is the most common concern we hear, and it’s completely natural. Our courses are conducted in a controlled, supportive environment where skills are introduced progressively. We teach you low-speed stability and recovery techniques specifically to prevent drops. However, tip-overs can happen when pushing your comfort zone and learning new skills. We recommend fitting basic protection like crash bars and hand guards before the course. Our coaches are always right there to assist, and managing a minor tip-over in a controlled environment is the best way to build confidence.

Off road biased dual-purpose or adventure tyres like Metzeler Karoo 4, Continental TKC80 and similar tyres in good condition are highly recommended to ensure you have the traction needed to practice advanced techniques safely. Given variable traction levels whilst trying to learn new skills, you want to give yourself the best option when it comes to tyres.

Safety is our priority. All participants must wear full, motorcycle-specific protective gear. This includes:
An approved motorcycle helmet (adventure, motocross, or full-face)
Motocross boots (stiff ankle protection is critical), we HIGHLY recommend using a motocross style boot like Alpine Stars Tech 7, Sidi Crossfire or similar for maximum protection. Adventure style boots are also acceptable but doesn’t provide the same level of protection.
Motorcycle jacket and pants with integrated armour
Off-road or adventure riding gloves
Eye protection (goggles, or a helmet visor will suffice in most cases)

The short answer is: it depends on the severity. We don’t cancel just for a bit of rain—in fact, learning to manage your bike on a damp track is a fantastic way to master smooth throttle control and body position under the watchful eye of our coaches.
However, your safety and the quality of your training experience come first. We will absolutely postpone or reschedule a course if the weather becomes extreme or compromises the delivery of the program. This includes scenarios like:
Extreme Heat: Temperatures that pose a risk of heat exhaustion or dehydration.
Torrential Rain/Flooding: Conditions that make the tracks unsafe or completely unrideable.
Severe Storms: High winds or lightning risks.
If we look at the forecast and determine that the conditions will stop us from delivering a safe, high-value course, we will make the call early. You’ll be notified immediately and offered a priority transfer to a future date.
We monitor the weather closely leading up to every weekend—if it's safe and productive to ride, we ride. If it isn't, we adapt.
